Finance and Banking Students Participate in Experiential Learning at VIB Dong Khoi Branch

In an effort to provide Finance and Banking students with practical exposure, enhance their professional knowledge, and offer deeper insights into the banking work environment, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University organized a field trip and experiential learning session on May 9, 2025, at the Vietnam International Bank (VIB), Dong Khoi Branch, Bien Hoa City, for the students of class 24NH112.

The program commenced at 8:20 a.m. with students gathering at Campus 1 of Lac Hong University and subsequently traveling to the VIB branch located at 97-99-101 Dong Khoi Street, Tam Hiep Ward, Bien Hoa City. Upon arrival, the group was warmly welcomed by VIB representatives who facilitated a focused and engaging interaction.

During the session, bank representatives provided an overview of the institution’s history, development, organizational structure, and key financial products and services. Students were not only introduced to practical banking operations but also gained valuable insights into the organizational culture and current career expectations within the finance and banking sector.

A highlight of the program was the direct dialogue between students and VIB professionals. Many pertinent questions were raised regarding recruitment procedures, internship opportunities, and the essential skills required to work in the banking industry. The responses, which were open and detailed, helped students clarify their career paths and boosted their motivation to prepare for upcoming internships.

At the conclusion of the visit, representatives from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, on behalf of the university, expressed their sincere gratitude to VIB by presenting a token of appreciation. The group also took commemorative photos before returning safely to campus at 11:30 a.m.

This field trip not only served as a valuable extracurricular academic activity but also as an opportunity for students to enhance their communication and observation skills while gaining realistic exposure to their prospective professional environments.
