Logistics Students Participate in Practical Learning at SP-PSA International Container Terminal

As part of the initiative to enhance practical learning experiences for students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, on the morning of December 10, 2025, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Lac Hong University, organized an industry field trip and experiential learning session at the SP-PSA International Container Terminal for class 25LG112. This activity serves to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world operations, enabling students to gain deeper insights into port operation processes—an essential component within the global logistics chain.

The field trip was supervised by Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, MSc – Lecturer in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, together with Ms. Le Thuy Dung – representative of the Internship & Corporate Relations Office, ensuring professional guidance and support for students throughout the visit.

At SP-PSA, students were warmly welcomed and introduced to the overall operating model of an international container terminal, including modern loading and unloading equipment, vessel and yard scheduling procedures, container management practices, and port security control. Directly observing operations at the quayside and container yard allowed students to clearly visualize the scale, complexity, and technological sophistication of seaport logistics.

The subsequent discussion session took place in an open and engaging atmosphere, with students raising questions regarding required professional competencies, practical work experience, technological trends in port operations, and internship opportunities at the terminal. Insights shared by SP-PSA representatives provided valuable real-world perspectives, supporting students in shaping a clearer direction for their future careers.

At the end of the visit, representatives of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting expressed their gratitude and presented a token of appreciation to SP-PSA for its active support in facilitating this meaningful practical learning experience. The activity reflects the strong partnership between the university and industry in developing high-quality human resources for the logistics sector.

The field trip brought significant educational value, enhancing students’ observational skills, analytical thinking, and specialized knowledge. It reaffirmed the Faculty’s commitment to practice-oriented education and to expanding career opportunities for students in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
